Food was fresh. Customized correctly with no extra charges, and friendly employees! Didn't dine in so can't speak to that, but I will definitely order again whenever I want generous portions at a good price.
I can't believe I slept on Cafe Rio for so long, considering I've spent 8.5 years living in markets where they are located: DC and Henderson. I went for the first time this past weekend, and I'm definitely a fan. They are a fast casual concept where you can customize your meal, similar to the chains Sweetgreen, Cava, and Chipotle. On this particular occasion, I ordered the sweet barbacoa salad (easy on the cheese, tortilla strips and guacamole on the side, and subbed the creamy dressing for vinaigrette) and it was phenomenal! Everything tasted farm fresh, and it was loaded with flavor. Service was also a breeze, and I was actually quite impressed with the staff when they remained calm and composed while the guest in front of me hurled passive aggressive insults at them for not doling out extra fixings on the house. Great experience overall, and I'll definitely be back again soon.
